Superfood Skincare!

Superfood Skincare!

Elemis is a wonderful cruelty free brand with tons of vegan friendly options. Their new range of Superfood skincare is one of those vegan friendly ranges. They are plant based formulas full of nutrient dense Superfoods! They claim to help replenish skin whilst hydrating for a healthy glow!

Elemis itself is known as one of the best luxury skincare brand in the UK. They use ground breaking fomulas with powerful biological actives to create gorgeous skincare products for every skin type! I have been trying out a few of their Superfood products over the last few weeks and thought I would share my thoughts on them with you all!

Firstly I tried the Superfood Night Cream, which is Pre-Biotic Night cream that claims to hydrate, restore and replenish skin. It includes a protective pre-biotic as well as superfoods such as Barley, Quinoa and almond milk to nourish the skin overnight. Oil blends such as Lavender, Ylang Ylang and Vetivert help to make the body feel relaxed for a better nights sleep.

I have to say I loved this night cream. It is super soft on the skin and sinks in like a dream. I love the fact it includes proven ingredients such as Lavender to help with a good nights sleep. I always love a Lavender product at bed time whether it be a body cream or pillow spray, so to know this lovely night cream already has the Lavender ticked it is plus for me! The formula is very smooth and silky and feels very luxurious. It comes in a minimalist bottle which looks fabulous in any room and is a good size too! It nourishes the skin overnight and I awoke with no signs or irritated or dry skin. I feel this is going a long way to help improve the dryness and redness in my skin tone.

Another product I have been trying out along side this is the superfood daycream. It is very similar to the night cream in the sense it has healthy pre-biotic and helps to replensish, moisturise and protect the skin and is full of healthy super greens! Again this is beautifully soft in texture and sinks into the skin really quickly. It works well under all the different foundations I have used it under thus far, and also works well in conjunction with other face care products such as washes and serums I am currently using. I have noticed my skin is much improved in the way of dryness and I seem to be getting less breakouts too! This one includes healthy superfoods of Ginger, Matcha Tea and Goji Berry!

Finally I have been using their Superfood facial wash. I think this may be my favourite as I love a good deep cleaning facial wash! It is green in colour and foams beautifully! It claims to cleanse, nourish and revitalise. I noticed it’s strength on first use, it cleaned away every morsel of dirt and left my skin feeling cool and calm and moisturised. There’s nothing worse than washing your face and it feeling very harsh and dry after cleaning. This one has a lovely array of Super foods from Avocado, Broccoli and Pumpkin seed to Wheatgrass, Kale and Nettle. It leaves the skin luminous and radiant! I certainly would recommend this one to everyone as it is a lovely everyday face wash. I personally use an oil to remove stubborn makeup and eye makeup (coconut oil or something similar, I’m currently using castor oil!) and then remove this with a flannel, then I go in with this cleanser to take away all the left over oil remnenets and any dirt and dead skin cells I’ve left behind to leave a healthy fresh and most importantly clean, glow!

Elemis are a luxiouris brand with a fabulous reputation. I am so glad that a lot of their range is Vegan friendly, I believe they have roughly 58 Vegan friendly items, If you pop Vegan into the search bar on their main website it will bring up all of their vegan friendly products for easy shopping and as you can see on the packaging below everything is clearly labelled “Vegan Friendly” if shopping in store!

Much Love

Love your blog, but just to let you know most these Elemis products aren’t actually vegan they contain a lot of Milk protein. 🙂

      Hi Lovely,
I have had a word with the company again for clarification and I can confirm that the above range I have spoken about ARE vegan. The whole superfood range is vegan. They company as a whole are not vegan, but this specific range of products I have mentioned in the blog post are. So these few products do not contain any Milk Proteins. 🙂 Hope that helps! xx
