Tropic Tamanu Healing Balm
Tropic as a brand are 100% cruelty free and also 100% Vegan. So I can shop with ease at Tropic as I no they do not test on animals or cause them distress by using animal derived ingredients. All the products are also free from Unsustainable Palm oil, gluten, lanolin, toxic chemicals, honey, beeswax, ALS, Mineral oils, Harsh Preservatives, MI, Phthalates, Formaldehyde, SLS and Parabens…. Crikey!
I was recently gifted the Tamanu Healing Balm to try.
The Tamanu healing balm includes super healing powers from the Tamanu plant. Protection from Monoi butter and soothing effects from cranberry and blackcurrant seed oils. The balm claims to help repair scarred and damaged skin.
This was also a baby awards winner in 2014 which shows it is a good quality product.
I have absolutely no idea who, what, why, or when… but this smells like my childhood! Something about the scent of the Tamanu healing balm reminds me of the early 90’s. It is very nostalgic to me.. I feel like my relatives must have used a product every similar to this one! Do let me know what it reminds you of as I’d love to figure it out!
I really like the consistency of this. It is like a balmy oil that glides nicely over the skin and sinks in within a few minutes, so no sticky oily feeling which I very much dislike. So thumbs up for this! I like to apply this at night after my skincare routine to give it lots of time whilst I sleep to work it’s magic on my skin.
I also love the fact that this is suitable for not only myself but also my children. The jar is a really good size so I don’t feel sad to have to share it either. There is plenty to go around as such a little goes a long way. I feel it is certainly worth the price point. I have been using this over a week now and it barely looks like I have scratched the surface!
I can’t really say whether this is super healing as I have yet to super hurt myself or have super issues however I have been using it on some scarring I have had for a while and although I can’t say in such a short time they look decreased, I can say that they feel moisturised and healthier than they did. The skin is less dry and has more of a skin like texture so I do feel with time that this will help to minimize scarring and keep skin hydrated! I also suffer quite badly with redness on my face and acne, hormonal spots and scaring along my jaw line so I am going to be using it on this everyday and I will update you on my progress over time over on my Twitter! (www.twitter.com/blogsemma)
I will certainly be continuing to use this product both for me and the kiddies.. and be repurchasing when its done! Who knows.. in 20 years my children may be using this on their children and wandering why the scent seems so familiar! I hope so.
If you love Tropic products as much as I do, check out their ambassadors page. You can sell Tropic from home and earn some extra pennies with commissions of 25% plus, which is great. It’s a similar concept to that of an Avon job, however cruelty free and Vegan, which Avon very much isn’t! This may even be something I do in the future if I find the time needed to put my all into it.
I would recommend these products to anyone! They are amazing.
